He administered and trained his Brigade with competence and commanded it with efficiency during internal security duties and exercises. Discharged his responsibilities as Chiefs of Staff of Central and Northern command very well before taking over the onerous responsibilities of Adjutant General at Army Headquarters.

For logistics support to the operational formations of a Corps and traffic control over unpredictable Zojila Pass; for maintaining liaison and co-ordination in matters dealing with land, transport, law and order and internal security duties in volatile Srinagar town and surrounding areas.

For the management of road and movement High degree of Advance Winter Stocking which helped in curtailing air maintenance for formations across Zojila and for handling of internal security situation in Srinagar town and surrounding areas.

For successful and tactful handling of providing aid to civil authority at Ludhinana and Kanpur.
